New alert issued
Fatherland Security Czar Michael Chertoff will be in Tallinn on Wednesday to sign phase one of Visa Waiver Program, sort of where the US finally starts paying Estonia back in real scrip for participating in its dirty war against Iraq.

So, duh, why are we paying Estonia in real money for being part of the 'Coalition of the Righteous'....or the willing or whatever? What am I missing here?
I corrected the wording a little.
It's just that visa freedom is so long overdue that it was a little embarrassing. For a while no one really saw the tangible benefits of trying to brownnose the US.
But now it looks like the US is finally extending long-awaited visa freedom to states like Estonia and Czech Republic.
There's more countries that meet the criteria but the "willing" ones like Estonia that were active in Iraq are perceived by some as getting priority treatment.
Good thing Estonia stayed willingly in the coalition then. Must be hell to pay for those that willingly left to try to visit the US now, unless you can swim the Rio Grand.
Expensive to visit the US, in any case, due to visa application fees.
I think in practice, a lot of the EU members that don't have visa freedom with the US are down to visa rejection rates of under 10%.
